What does Mochi do?​

Mochi is an easy-to-use customer support suit that allows you to interact with your customers in real time through text messaging and live chat .

Can I customize my user profiles?

Yes, you can customize the name and profile picture of each of your users.

Why should I choose Mochi?

Mochi is designed specifically for small to medium-sized eCommerce stores and enables you to respond promptly to customers using the method they prefer – text messaging or web chat.

What do my customers see when I use Mochi?

Your customers see a small chat icon at the bottom-right corner of your website (just like the one at the bottom of this page). If they click on the icon they will have the ability to message you with a question. On mobile they will have the ability to text message with you.

What communication channels does Mochi support?

Mochi allows you to chat with your customers through text messaging and web chat . You can respond to either channel through the Mochi dashboard on your computer or through text messages on your phone.

Do I have to be online to get the value out of Mochi?

You don’t have to sit at your computer all day to get value out of Mochi. If a customer sends you a text, you can respond via text on your phone. If you’re not able to respond, Mochi’s automated responses can share information with site visitors on your behalf. Additionally, Mochi can capture site visitors name and email address, so you can follow up later.

Do I talk with my customers or does Mochi talk with my customers?

You talk with your customers. Mochi enables you to provide amazing service to your customers and website visitors, but we do not do the chatting for you.

Can I customize the Mochi widget to match my site?

Yes, you can customize the Mochi chat icon color at the bottom-right corner of your website, so that it matches your site’s theme.

Does Mochi save past conversations with customers?

Yes, you can always go back and view past conversations with previous customers. Additionally, you can see the visitors who are live on your site right now.

Does Mochi provide chat bots?

We’ve found that most eCommerce store owners want to interact with their customers directly and provide a human touch. So Mochi does not provide chat bots. We do offer a number of automated responses that you can edit yourself. This means that your customers can interact with you even when you’re not available.

Can I use Mochi even if my shop is not on Shopify?

Yes, you can use Mochi without using Shopify. While Mochi is available on the Shopify app store, installation on another platform or stand-alone website it simple. If you need help signing up and installing the Mochi widget, please click here.

How do I add Mochi to my website?

Adding Mochi to your website is quick and simple. If you are on Shopify, you can simply add Mochi through the Shopify app store. If you are not on Shopify, you will need to copy and paste some code snippets to your website, which we will provide after you’ve made a purchase.
